Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn
I have used:-
70 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in each of the colors 1 & 2
4.50mm Clover crochet hook
TENSION – 5tr and 2 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Scarf – With colour 1 make 176ch loosely, work (1dc, 1tr) into 2nd ch from hook, * miss 1ch, (1dc, 1tr) into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch, miss 1ch, 1dc into last ch. Turn. (87 groups)
Pattern Row – 1ch, (1dc, 1tr) into base of 1ch, * miss 1tr, (1dc, 1tr) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last tr and dc, miss 1tr, 1dc into dc. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Row in colour sequence as follows:-
Once in colour 1
Five times in colour 2
Three times in colour 1
Row 12 – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr and dc to end. Fasten off leaving length of yarn to gather end of scarf with. Fasten off.
Working 1dc into each ch, rpt Row 12 along starting ch edge, leave length yarn to gather end of scarf with. Fasten off
Pom-Poms – Using colour 2, make 2 medium pom-poms, I used Clover pom-pom maker size 45.
Finishing – Using the loose length of yarns, thread through row ends on short sides of scarf and gather, weave in any spare loose ends and trim off.
Attach a pom-pom to each gathered edge.
Hat – Made in rounds without turning until the end of 13th Round.
With colour 1, make magic circle, (see abbrev) (RS) 3ch, work 12tr into ring, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (12tr + 3ch)
2nd Round – (Inc Round) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 2tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (25tr + 3ch)
3rd Round – (Inc Round) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * 1tr into next tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr, 1tr into last tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (38tr + 3ch)
4th Round – (Inc Round) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * 1tr into each of next 2tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr, 1tr in each of last 2tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (51tr + 3ch)
5th Round – (Inc Round) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * 1tr into next 3tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 3tr, 1tr into each of last 3tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (64tr + 3ch)
6th Round – (Inc Round) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * 1tr into each of next 10tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 9tr, 1tr into each of last 9tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Fasten off. (70tr + 3ch)
Join in colour 2.
7th Round – 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round.
8th to 13th Rounds – Rpt 7th Round. Fasten off. Turn. (You can add more rows here if you wish for a longer hat)
Brim – Working into BLO (see abbrev) join in colour 1, 1ch, (1dc, 1tr) into base of 1ch, * miss 1tr, (1dc, 1tr) into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr, miss 1tr, 1dc into last tr, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Next Row – Working through both loops, 1ch, (1dc, 1tr) into fist dc, * miss 1tr, (1dc, 1tr) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last tr, 1dc into tr, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt last row 3 more times. Fasten off.
Pom-Pom – Using colour 2, make 1 medium pom-pom, I used Clover pom-pom maker size 45.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn, fold brim onto front of hat, attach pom-pom securely to crown.
Fingerless Gloves – Make 2 gloves the same.
Starting with the ribbed cuff, using colour 1 make 12ch, work 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (11dc)
Next Row – Working into blo, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
Rpt last row until 26 rows have been worked in all.
Fold work in half so that the short sides of both ends are lined up, sl st through both of the short sides of work to make a round.
Turn your work on to the side so you are working into the row ends, make 1ch, work 1dc into each of next 26 row ends to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off. Turn. (26dc)
Join in colour 2, working through both loops.
Second Row – (Inc Row) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 10dc, 2dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc, 2dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 11dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (28dc)
Third Row – (Inc Row) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 10dc, 2dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 4dc, 2dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 11dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (30dc)
Fourth Row – (Inc Row) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 10dc, 2dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 6dc, 2dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 11dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (32dc)
Fifth Row – (Inc Row) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 10dc, 2dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 8dc, 2dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 11dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (34dc)
Sixth Row – (Inc Row) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 10dc, 2dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 10dc, 2dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 11dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (36dc)
Seventh Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 12dc, miss next 10dc, (thumb) 1dc into each of next 13dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row (26dc)
Eighth Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt Eighth Row three more times. Fasten off.
Join in colour 1 and rpt Eighth Row twice. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in any loose ends of yarn and trim off. Turn through to right side.
