Dress Top – Worked in one piece starting with yoke. Using 4.00mm hook make 55ch, 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr in each ch to end. Turn. (52tr + 3ch)
2nd Row – (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of the next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr and 3ch, 2tr into next tr, 1tr into last tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (65tr + 3ch)
3rd Row – 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
4th Row – (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of the next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to last 3tr and 3ch, 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (81tr + 3ch)

Yoke Edge – With back of dress facing, return to loose loops on bottom of yoke, starting on left hand side, working into first loop make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1 loop, 3tr into next loop, miss 1 loop, 1dc into next loop, * rpt from * to * around yoke (including tr’s on armholes) to end. Fasten off. Turn. (36, 3tr groups)
Button/Buttonhole Borders – Starting with RS facing on lower edge of right hand side of back opening, rejoin yarn to side of tr on the skirt, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 20dc evenly up first back edge to corner, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch around neck to next corner, 3dc into corner, 20dc evenly down second back edge. Turn.
Buttonhole Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to corner, 3dc into corner, 1dc into dc around neck edge to next corner, 1dc into corner, * 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next 7dc * rpt from * to * once, make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into remaining dc. Fasten off. Turn. (3 Buttonholes made)
Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc and 2ch space to corner. Fasten off.
Return to first side of back opening and working from neck downwards make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Fasten off.
Finishing – Sew in and tie off any loose ends of yarn, sew on buttons to correspond with buttonholes, decorate with ribbon rosebud.
Hat – (Worked in rounds without turning throughout), Make magic circle, with 4.00mm hook make 3ch, work 12tr into ring, pull loose thread to close circle, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. (12tr + 3ch)
Round 2 – 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 2tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. (25tr + 3ch)
Round 3 – 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * 1tr into next tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr, 1tr into last tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. (38tr + 3ch)
