For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn

350 grams of King Cole Melody DK
Or
12.34
oz of Worsted Weight #3 yarn

5.00mm Clover crochet hook

GAUGE – 5dc & 2 rows measures approx 1 inch

Crochet Citrus Baby Blanket

Made in multiples of 2 + 3

ch128, 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in each ch to end. Turn. (125dc + ch3)

Row 2 – ch3, * 1dc in FLO of next dc, 1dc in BLO on next dc, *  rpt from * to * to end, working last dc in top of ch3. Turn. (see abbrev for FLO and BLO)

Rpt Row 2 until 58 rows have been worked in all from beginning. Turn.

Working through both loops, ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, ch3, work 2dc in each row end down first side of blanket, 1dc in corner. Fasten off.

Skip starting ch edge and join yarn to corner on second side of blanket, ch3, work 2dc in each row end up second side of blanket, 1dc in corner. Turn.

Border – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc across, 3sc in top of ch3, 2sc in row end, 1sc in each ch across starting ch edge, 2sc in row end, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each dc across, 3sc in top of ch3, 2sc in row end, 1sc in each dc across, 1sc in corner, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.

Second Row – ch4, skip 1sc, 1dc in next sc, * ch1, skip 1sc, 1dc in next sc, * working (ch1, 1dc, ch1) in each corner, rpt from * to * around 4 sides to last sc, ch1, skip sc, sl st to 3rd of ch4 on beginning of row. Turn.

Third Row – ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each ch1 space and sc around 4 sides to end, working 3sc in corners, 1sc in base of ch1, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.

Fourth Row – ch3, 3dc in base of ch3, * skip 2sc, (sl st, ch3, 3dc) in next sc, * rpt from * to * around 4 sides to end, (you may need to skip 1sc on corners) sl st to base of ch3 on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
