Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn
I have used:-
30 grams of King Cole Baby Glitz DK
5.00mm and 4.00mm Clover crochet hooks
2 small novelty buttons (optional)
TENSION – 5dc and 2 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Crochet Baby Glitz Booties uk
Using 5.00mm hook make 27ch, ss to first ch to make a ring. Change to 4.00mm hook, work 1ch, (RS) 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each ch to end, ss to first dc on beginning row (27dc). Turn.
2nd Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt 2nd Row until 9 rows have been worked in all. Fasten off. Turn.
Instep
Miss 9dc rejoin yarn to 10th dc with a ss, 1ch, 1dc into base of ch, 1dc into each of next 8dc. Turn. (9dc)
Next row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 8dc. Turn.
Rpt last row until 9 rows have been worked in all. Fasten off. Turn.
Shape Sole
With WS facing return to back seam where you casted off at ankle, (see picture below), make 1ch, work 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 8dc along ankle, 1dc into each of next 9 row ends up first side of instep, 1dc into each of 9dc along toe, 1dc into each of the next 9 row ends down second side of instep, 1dc into each of next 9dc along ankle, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (45dc)
Row 2 – Make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc. Turn.
Row 3 – Rpt Row 2 once. Turn.
Row 4 (Dec Row) – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (see abbrev) 1dc into each of the next 17dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, work 1dc into next dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into next 17dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into last dc, ss to first dc. Turn. (41dc)
Row 5 – Rpt Row 2.
Row 6 (Dec Row) – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of the next 15dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, work 1dc into next dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into next 15dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into last dc, ss to first dc. Turn. (37dc)
Row 7 – Rpt Row 2
Row 8 – (Dec Row) – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of the next 13dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, work 1dc into next dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into next 13dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into last dc, ss to first dc. Turn. (33dc)
Do not fasten off.
With WS of bootie facing, make 1ch, ss loosely through centre loops of the dc’s to close gap on sole of bootie. Fasten off.
Cuff – With 4.00mm hook and WS facing rejoin yarn to cast on edge, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each ch to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (27dc)
Next Row – Working into front loop of stitch only, work 1ch, ss into base of 1ch, * 1tr into next dc, ss into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, 1tr into next dc, miss 1dc, ss to first ss on beginning of row. Turn. (13tr + 13ss)
Work through both loops from now on:
Pattern Row 1 – 1ch, 1htr into base of 1ch, 1htr into each st to end, ss to first htr on beginning of row. Turn. (26htr)
Pattern Row 2 – 1ch, ss into base of 1ch, * 1tr, into next htr, ss into next htr, * rpt from * to * to last htr, 1tr into htr, ss to first ss on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 twice each. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
Turn through to RS, fold cuff over onto RS (from where you worked into front loop), attach a button to side of cuff on each bootie.
