Worked in one piece starting with the yoke.
Coat –  With color 1 ch49, (RS) 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in each ch to end. Turn. (46dc + ch3)

Row 2 – (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 3dc, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc and ch3, 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (57dc + ch3)

Row 3 – ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.

Row 4 – (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in next dc * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc * rpt from * to * to last dc and ch3, 2dc in dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (76dc + ch3)

Row 5 – Rpt Row 3.

2nd Row – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * 7dc in next ch3 space, 1sc in next hdc, * rpt from * to * to last ch3 space and hdc, 7dc in ch3 space 1sc in hdc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (5, 7dc groups)

Button/Buttonhole Bands
Buttonhole Band – With WS facing, join color 1 to neck edge on right hand side of jacket, ch1, work 38sc evenly down right front edge to corner. Fasten off. Turn.

Next row – Join in color 2, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Fasten off. Turn.

Buttonhole Row – Join in color 1, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in next 5sc, * rpt from * to * once, ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn. (3 buttonholes)

Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1 more row of 1sc in each sc and ch2 space to end. Fasten off.

Button Band – Return to second side and with WS side facing join in color 1, working from bottom edge up, ch1, work 38sc evenly along edge to neck. Fasten off. Turn.

Join in color 2, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Fasten off. 

Next Row – Join in color 1, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 2 more rows of 1sc in each sc to end. Fasten off.

Collar – Working along cast on ch of neck edge with WS facing, join color 1 to first ch after button band, ch3, work 1dc in each ch to end, turn leaving buttonhole band un-worked. (46dc + ch3)

Row 1 – (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 3dc, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc and ch3, 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Fasten off. Turn. (57dc + ch3)

Row 2 –  (Inc Row) Join in color 2, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 2sc in next dc, 1sc in each dc to last dc and ch3, 2sc in next dc, 1sc in top of ch3. Fasten off. Turn. (60sc)

Row 3 – Join color 1, ch2, 1hdc in next sc, * ch3, skip 2sc, 1sc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last 4sc, ch3, skip 2sc, 1hdc in each of last 2sc. Turn. (19, ch3 spaces)

Row 4 – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in next hdc, * 7dc in next ch3 space, 1sc in next ch3 space, * rpt from * to * to last ch3 space, hdc and ch2, 7dc in next ch3 space, 1sc in hdc, 1sc in top of ch2. Fasten off. (10, shell groups)

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn. Sew on buttons to correspond with buttonholes.

Bloomers – With color 1, ch72 loosely, sl st to first ch to make a round, ch3, 1dc in each ch to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (71dc + ch3)

Row Two – ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt Row Two until 10 rows have been worked in all or work measures approx 4.5 Inches from beginning. Turn.

Divide for Legs – ch3, 1dc in each of next 35dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn leaving remaining 36dc un-worked.

First Leg – ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (35dc + ch3)

Rpt last row until 10 rows have been worked in all from division or leg seam measures approx 5 Inches.

Leg Cuff – ( Dec Row) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in next sc, * dec 1sc over next 2sc, (see abbrev) 1sc in each of next 2sc, * rpt from * to * to last 2sc, dec 1sc over last 2sc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.

Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 2 more rows of 1sc in each sc to end, slip stitch to first sc on the beginning of each row. Fasten off.

Second Leg – Return to un-worked stitches at division, rejoin yarn to next dc, complete second leg the same as the first. Fasten off.

With RS of work facing join color 1 to starting ch on waist, ch1, 1sc in each ch to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (72sc)

Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work two more rows of 1sc in each sc to end, slip stitch to first sc on beginning of each row. Fasten off.

Chain Ties – Using color 2
Waist – ch130. Fasten off.
Ankles – ch75. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in any loose ends of yarn and trim off.  Turn through to RS. Thread chain ties through waist and ankles and tie with bows.
