Coat –  With colour 1 make 49ch, (RS) 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr into each ch to end. Turn. (46tr + 3ch)

Row 2 – (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to last 3tr and 3ch, 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (57tr + 3ch)

Row 3 – 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.

Buttonhole Band – With WS facing, join colour 1 to neck edge on right hand side of jacket, make 1ch, work 38dc evenly down right front edge to corner. Fasten off. Turn.

Next row – Join in colour 2, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Fasten off. Turn.

Buttonhole Row – Join in colour 1, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next 5dc, * rpt from * to * once, make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn. (3 buttonholes)

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1 more row of 1dc into each dc and 2ch space to end. Fasten off.

Button Band – Return to second side and with WS side facing join in colour 1, working from bottom edge up, make 1ch, work 38dc evenly along edge to neck. Fasten off. Turn.

Join in colour 2, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Fasten off. 

Next Row – Join in colour 1, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 2 more rows of 1dc into each dc to end. Fasten off.

Collar – Working along cast on ch of neck edge with WS facing, join colour 1 to first ch after button band, make 3ch, work 1tr in each ch to end, turn leaving buttonhole band un-worked. (46tr + 3ch)

Row 1 – (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to last 3tr and 3ch, 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Fasten off. Turn. , (57tr + 3ch)

Row 2 –  (Inc Row) Join in colour 2, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 2dc into next tr, 1dc into each tr to last tr and 3ch, 2dc into next tr, 1dc into top of 3ch. Fasten off. Turn. (60dc)

Row 3 – Join colour 1, make 2ch, 1htr into next dc, * 3ch, miss 2dc, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 4dc, make 3ch, miss 2dc, 1htr into each of last 2dc. Turn. (19, 3ch spaces)

Row 4 – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next htr, * 7tr into next 3ch space, 1dc into next 3ch space, * rpt from * to * to last 3ch space, htr and 2ch, 7tr into next 3ch space, 1dc into htr, 1dc into top of 2ch. Fasten off. (10, shell groups)

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn. Sew on buttons to correspond with buttonholes.

Bloomers – With colour 1, make 72ch loosely, ss to first ch to make a round, work 3ch, 1tr into each ch to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. (71tr + 3ch)

Row Two – 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt Row Two until 10 rows have been worked in all or work measures approx 4.5 Inches from beginning. Turn.

Divide for Legs – 3ch, 1tr into each of next 35tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn leaving remaining 36tr un-worked.

First Leg – 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. (35tr + 3ch)

Rpt last row until 10 rows have been worked in all from division or leg seam measures approx 5 Inches.

Leg Cuff – ( Dec Row) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next dc, * dec 1dc over next 2dc, (see abbrev) 1dc into each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, dec 1dc over last 2dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 2 more rows of 1dc into each dc to end, slip stitch to first dc on the beginning of each row. Fasten off.

Second Leg – Return to un-worked stitches at division, rejoin yarn to next tr, complete second leg the same as the first. Fasten off.

With RS of work facing join colour 1 to starting ch on waist, work 1ch, 1dc into each ch to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (72dc)

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work two more rows of 1dc into each dc to end, slip stitch to first dc on beginning of each row. Fasten off.

Chain Ties – Using colour 2

Waist – Make 130ch. Fasten off.

Ankles – Make 75ch. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in any loose ends of yarn and trim off.  Turn through to RS. Thread chain ties through waist and ankles and tie with bows.
